    Coming October 2026

  • For this showcase, we're not looking for stories about music. We're looking for stories about life, where music plays an important role.

Think about the songs that became attached to a moment, a person, a place, or a version of yourself. The music is the doorway, but the story is what happened on the other side of it.

We're looking for stories that answer questions like:

    • What song instantly transports you somewhere else?

    • What album got you through a difficult season?

    • What artist changed the way you saw yourself?

    • What song became the soundtrack of a relationship?

    • What song reminds you of someone you've lost?

    • What concert changed your life?

    • What song was playing during a moment you'll never forget?

    • What piece of music connected generations of your family?ext goes here

  • A Few Examples

🎡 You hear "Sweet Caroline" and are suddenly back in your grandmother's kitchen every Sunday afternoon.

🎡 A burned CD from high school becomes the soundtrack to a friendship that changed your life.

🎡 The song you and your dad always sang in the car takes on a completely different meaning after he's gone.

🎡 A concert ticket purchased on a whim leads to meeting someone who changes your future.

🎡 Learning a particular song gives you the confidence to step onto a stage for the first time.

🎡 One song plays at every major milestone in your life, somehow appearing at exactly the right moment.

🎡 An artist's lyrics help you navigate a difficult chapter when you feel completely alone.

The best stories will be personal, specific, and true. We want the moments where music wasn't just background noise. We want the moments where it became part of the memory itself.

Because sometimes we don't remember the date, the year, or even exactly what happened.

    But we remember the song

Supernatural: A Podcast

  • Supernatural is a storytelling project from Charlotte Storytellers exploring the moments in life that defy easy explanation.

From uncanny coincidences and vivid dreams to brushes with the unknown, family legends, spiritual encounters, strange intuitions, and yes, even ghost stories, Supernatural is a space for true stories that leave us wondering what else might be out there.

Each episode features real people sharing real experiences that challenged their understanding of the world. Some stories are eerie. Some are inspiring. Some are deeply personal. All of them invite us to consider the mysteries that exist just beyond what we can explain.

Whether you believe in the supernatural or simply enjoy a good story, join us as we explore the unexplained, the extraordinary, and the moments that stay with us long after they happen.

    Coming October 2026

  • We are seeking true, personal stories about experiences that felt beyond explanation. These stories do not need to be scary, paranormal, or centered on ghosts. We are interested in the moments that made you stop and wonder.

    Some examples include:

    • Unexplainable coincidences that changed your perspective

    • Dreams that seemed to predict or connect to real events

    • Encounters that felt spiritual or otherworldly

    • Family stories, legends, or traditions that have stayed with you

    • Moments of intuition that turned out to be accurate

    • Experiences that challenged your beliefs about the world

    • Strange happenings that still don't have a clear explanation

    • Encounters with people, places, or events that felt deeply meaningful or mysterious

    • Stories involving luck, fate, synchronicity, or destiny

    • Personal experiences with the paranormal, supernatural, or unexplained

We're especially interested in stories that focus on how the experience affected you. What happened is important, but we're equally curious about what it meant to you, how it changed you, or what questions it left behind.

The best stories leave us wondering not just what happened, but what it all means.

  • Story Examples

    • The dream you had three nights before a major event that unfolded almost exactly as you saw it.

    • The stranger who appeared at exactly the right moment, gave you the advice you needed, and then seemed to vanish from your life forever.

    • A family story about a relative who knew something was about to happen before anyone else did.

    • The coincidence that was so specific and unlikely that you still can't explain it years later.

    • The old house where everyone experienced something strange, even though no one talked about it until much later.

    • The object, photograph, or heirloom that seemed connected to events beyond simple chance.

    • The time your intuition told you not to get on a plane, take a trip, or make a decision, and what happened afterward.

    • An encounter with someone who had passed away, whether in a dream, a memory, or a moment that felt undeniably real.

    • The place that gave you an overwhelming feeling of familiarity despite never having been there before.

    • A moment when technology, nature, or the world around you behaved in a way that defied explanation.

    • The family superstition you laughed at until something happened that made you reconsider.

    • The experience that made you question whether fate, destiny, or coincidence are really different things.

    • A recurring dream, symbol, or sign that kept appearing throughout your life.

    • The story everyone in your family swears is true, even though no one can fully explain it.

    • The unexplained event that became a turning point in your life.

    • The moment you felt connected to something larger than yourself and couldn't quite put it into words.

    • The coincidence that led you to your spouse, best friend, career, or a life-changing opportunity.

    • The story you rarely tell because you're not sure anyone would believe it.

β€œEnd the end we are all stories. Make yours a good one.β€œ

Next Steps and the Proccess

  • Every showcase begins with a story. Submit a brief description of a true, personal experience connected to the showcase theme. You do not need a polished script or performance experience. We're looking for authentic stories with heart, perspective, and connection.

  • Our team reviews each submission and selects a group of storytellers whose stories create a compelling and diverse evening. We consider how stories fit the theme, complement one another, and contribute to the overall audience experience.

  • Selected storytellers work one-on-one with coaches to shape their stories for the stage. Through feedback, conversation, and practice, you'll learn how to strengthen your narrative, find the most impactful moments, and build confidence in your delivery while staying true to your voice.

  • Before showcase night, storytellers come together for a full rehearsal. This is an opportunity to practice in front of fellow performers, receive final feedback, work through stage logistics, and build trust with the cast. By the end of rehearsal, everyone knows they're part of something special.

  • Showtime. Step onto the stage and share your story with a live audience. Supported by a welcoming community and a room full of listeners, you'll have the opportunity to connect, entertain, reflect, and be heard. It's the moment where all the preparation comes together and stories come to life.
